Saving designs, working across devices, sharing a layout, and how accounts and projects work in Flip Kitchen.
Not a full one. When the designer opens it shows a sign-in card with four ways in on the first screen: Google, Continue with Apple, an email code (a six-digit code sent to your inbox — no password to invent), or Try it as a guest →. All of them are free, with no card. A guest gets the same designer, AI Design included, and can keep up to two designs for seven days after the last visit — though spending GH Coins, publishing and inviting people into a design all need a real account. Sign in with one and you can keep more: up to 10 designs on a free account, 100 with a membership or a Designer account, 300 on Studio. At the limit, delete an old design before you save a new one.
Designer tour — every button →It should not, on the same browser. A signed-in account stays signed in there: the session renews every time you use the designer and only lapses after 30 days away. If it asks again sooner, the usual reasons are cleared browser data, a different browser or device, or a private window — each of those starts without your sign-in. Guest sessions are shorter, which is one more reason to keep anything that matters under a real account.
Designer tour — every button →💾 Save writes the design to your account. The first save asks for a project name, mints a ten-character project ID and copies the share link to your clipboard; every later save writes back to that same project. In your account one name means one design, so a save under a name you have already used goes into that design rather than starting another. Save As follows the same rule: a new name makes a copy and leaves the original alone, while the same name saves into the design you already have. To branch a design and try something without risking the original, give it a new name — Plan B — first.
Designer tour — every button →Not straight away. The designer keeps an automatic draft of unsaved work — updated every few seconds and kept for seven days — and the next time you open it, the start screen offers it back as Unsaved · continue. Treat that as a safety net, not a save: only the latest draft is offered, and if you start something else instead it stays under Load but will not reopen on its own. 💾 Save is what keeps a design. Once saved it belongs to your account and opens on any computer you sign in from, either through 📂 Load in the designer or from the Projects list on the start page.
Designer tour — every button →📂 Load opens the design library: folders you create and drag designs into, a search box that takes either a name or the ten-character ID, sorting by newest, oldest or name, and a grid or list view. Hovering a name shows its thumbnail. The start page also keeps a Recent Projects strip for the ones you touched last.
Designer tour — every button →To let them look, send its share link — the 🔗 on the design’s card in 📂 Load copies it. It opens without an account: they can look around the plan, the elevations, the countertop page and 3D, measure, and, signed in, leave 📍 comments, but they cannot change or save anything, and the link does not carry the design’s ID. Sent it to the wrong person? Make a new link on the same card and the old one stops at once. To work on it together, open Chats & contacts on the 2D toolbar (the plain speech bubble) and go to its Contacts tab. If they are not one of your contacts yet, add them there first: Add a contact, using the email they sign in with, then Send request (Community → 📇 Contacts works too); they accept, and they need to have signed in to the site once. Then press Invite beside their name: they watch you work live, you can talk it through in the design’s own chat at the top of Chats, and you can hand them the controls (how designing together works). To send something they can keep, ↓ Export a PDF of the drawings — it opens anywhere, no account needed. To show it to everyone, publish it.
Designer tour — every button →No. Only a few people can write back to your design: you, a designer you hired through Community (an installer you hired can look but not change it), our sales team once you have given them the design’s ID (IDs are random, so nobody can guess yours), and a contact you invited — and that contact only while you have handed them the controls in a live session, which you can take back at any moment. Anyone else who opens it, a gallery visitor say, works on their own screen, and their Save or Remix lands as a copy in their own list. Your original is untouched.
Designer tour — every button →↓ Export, then tick the sheets you want — the elevation wall by wall, the top view, the countertop drawing, a 3D photo, any renders, even pictures from your own computer. Preview PDF shows the page order and you can drag the pages into the order you want before saving. Name and save the design first: Export stays greyed out until the design has a name (click — not saved — at the left to give it one). And note that Ctrl/⌘ + P opens Export, not the browser’s print dialog.
Designer tour — every button →Nothing is public until you publish it. Use the 🌐 globe on the design’s card in 📂 Load, or Publish on the 3D toolbar with Edit 3D on: Publish to Community posts the design to the public gallery, where anyone can browse it, like it and Remix it — Remix opens a copy in their own designer, so your original is never touched. A guest has to sign in with a real account before publishing.
Designer tour — every button →The gallery is open to the whole internet, including people who are not signed in, and each card carries the design name, its thumbnail and the name of the account that published it — your community nickname if you have set one, otherwise a stable anonymous name. Your email address is never shown. So publish the kitchens you are happy to have public, and if you want one taken down, delete the underlying design or email us and we will pull it.
Designer tour — every button →A single design is deleted from its card in the design library — the bin icon in 📂 Load. That happens at once, with no recycle bin: its share link stops working, and its comments, its album and any design chat it had before 16 October 2026 go with it. The design’s own chat goes too, for everyone in it; your other chats with people are separate, and deleting a design does not touch them. The whole account you can delete yourself: Settings → 🔒 Privacy & data → Delete my account, then type DELETE to confirm. The account goes at once, along with its samples, renders, archived photos and sign-in sessions. Your saved designs and cloud projects are kept for 30 days in case it was a mistake — email us within that time and we can put them back — and are then erased for good. Questions and answers you posted in the community stay up with your name removed, so other people’s replies survive.
Designer tour — every button →On a Designer or Studio account, yes — it is there for the materials you work with that Flip does not carry. Settings → 🎨 Material Library takes your own door colours and countertop textures as images, plus .glb models for lighting, chairs and decoration. They save to your account, sync across your devices and appear in the designer beside the built-in ones. Floor, wall, hardware and moulding uploads are still to come. Other accounts do not see that tab.
Designer tour — every button →English, 中文 and Français — the picker sits at the top right of every main page and the choice follows you around the site. The designer also has a ☀ / 🌙 button for its light and dark themes.
