Prices, help & the AI extras

How do I find out what my design would cost?+

The Quote panel does it as you work: it keeps a running, itemised count of what the design contains — wall cabinets, base cabinets, pantry, accessories and the countertop area — and totals it, so you can see where a change lands before you commit to it. There is a box for a coupon code at the bottom of the same panel.

Is the quote a firm price?+

Treat it as indicative rather than a binding offer. It covers cabinetry — not countertops, appliances, flooring, delivery or installation — and it is built from the sizes you typed in. Confirm the measurements and the final list with us before anything is ordered.

How do I actually order, or talk to a human?+

There is no online checkout — a kitchen is worth a conversation first. Save the design so it has a share link, then send it to us with the form on the contact page or by email to info@flipkitchen.ca; we reply within a business day. The Community section also carries a directory of certified pros, where Get a quote with my design hands you the link to send them.

Who is Emma, and what can she actually answer?+

Emma is the assistant on the home page, and she is reading the same guide you are — measuring, layout, materials, installing, finishing and troubleshooting — so she answers in a line or two and links you to the exact chapter, sometimes with the picture from it. What she cannot do on the home page is see the design you have open or place cabinets for you — there is no canvas there, so that widget is always chat mode. In the designer and in the iPad app she also has an action mode that does edit the design while you talk. When she is not sure of something she will say so and point you at Need a human? rather than invent an answer.

Is talking to Emma free?+

Typing to her is free and needs no account — visitors get a few dozen questions a day, and signing in lifts that. Voice is a live call, and it comes in two modes. In chat mode she talks and looks things up but cannot touch the design: that is free with no daily limit on Pro, Designer and Studio accounts, while every other signed-in account gets 30 free minutes a day and then pays one GH Coin per five minutes — a guest account gets 10 minutes a day. A chat call hangs up after fifteen seconds of silence, so tap her again when you want to carry on. Action mode, where she edits the design while you talk, is in the designer and the app only and has no free allowance: about 0.5 GH Coin a minute, charged as one coin per two-minute block. An action call ends on silence too, but the hang-up waits for the next whole minute of the call. She speaks English, Mandarin and French. Clicking her on the website only opens the chat panel; the call starts when you ask for it.

Emma says she is offline. Now what?+

That message means the assistant is genuinely down for maintenance rather than ignoring you. Use the Need a human? link at the bottom of the chat, leave your question with an email or a phone number, and someone from the team picks it up within a business day.

How do I get a photoreal picture of my kitchen?+

Two different tools. Render Studio AI-renders whatever the 3D view is showing — there is no prompt to write, because it reads the finishes you already chose; frame the shot first, and you can capture up to four angles so it has extra detail to work from. It takes roughly half a minute to a minute and a half. 📷 Photo (P) is the slower, truer one: it queues a properly ray-traced render on our render machine, takes a few minutes, and lands in your 3D Photos album. Both need you to be signed in, and both spend a GH Coin.

What are GH Coins, and how do I get some?+

They are the credits for the AI extras: one for a Render Studio image or a photo enhancement, ten for a video, one per five minutes of voice chat once the free minutes for that day are used up, and about half a coin a minute when Emma is editing the design for you (one coin per two-minute block). SW Design is free three times a day once you are signed in, and costs a coin per run after that — a membership makes it unlimited. Everything else — sketching your kitchen, saving it, the quote, exports, the Slab Gallery, chatting to Emma by text — still costs nothing. You can top up yourself in the app or on the site while signed in, and the Flip Kitchen team can add coins too, so ask through Need a human? or info@flipkitchen.ca.

Can I download my renders, and why is there a watermark?+

Every render carries a small Flip Kitchen mark in the bottom-right corner. You can download any image as a PNG, or take the whole set as a zip; your last sixty renders stay in the browser you made them in, and in Chrome or Edge you can point the tool at a folder so each new render is written straight to your computer. Renders can also be pulled into the PDF export as their own pages.

My 3D Photo has vanished from the album.+

Full-resolution photos are held for about two hours and then deleted, so download the ones you want to keep as soon as they land. Worth knowing too: photo rendering pauses for maintenance overnight, and when it is asleep it tells you roughly when it will be back.

Do you keep the AI renders of my kitchen?+

Only if you say we can. The first time you render, you are asked whether we may keep a copy to improve image quality, and that choice sits under every render so you can change it whenever you like. If you have not turned it on, your renders are not kept. Kept renders are looked at by Flip Kitchen staff only — never published, sold, or shown to anyone else.

Is the AI render what my kitchen will actually look like?+

Close, but treat it as an interpretation rather than a photograph of the finished product. Lighting, reflections and the way a colour reads on your screen are all approximations, so check any finish against a real sample before you commit — particularly whites, greys and anything with a strong sheen.

Something is broken, or I have found a bug. Where do I report it?+

The contact form or info@flipkitchen.ca — tell us what you were doing and, if the design was saved, paste its ten-character ID so we can open exactly what you were looking at. It genuinely helps, and we answer within a business day.
